Ingredients for making Crispy Potato Balls
- 3 medium-sized potatoes
- A bunch of coriander leaves or cilantro.
- 3-4 green chilli
- 1 tablespoon of food color (yellow is preferred)
- 3–4 tablespoons of corn flour
- 1 tablespoon of rock salt
- 1 tablespoon of black pepper.
- 1 small bowl of tomato sauce/chutney to serve with.
Step-by-step Preparation for Crispy Potato Balls
- First, peel 3 medium-sized potatoes and cut them from the center to make four halves.
- Then chop some coriander/cilantro leaves and keep them aside.
- Similarly, chop some green chilies and keep them aside.
- Then, in a pressure cooker, put some water in and boil the previously cut potatoes.
- Once the potatoes are cooked, place them in a bowl and mash them thoroughly.
- Add some rock salt and 1 tablespoon of black pepper.
- Add a pinch of food color for colouring.
- Add chopped coriader/cilantro leaves and chopped green chilies.
- Then add 3–4 tablespoons of corn flour and make a dough with it.
- Then apply some oil to your hands and start making small balls with the dough.
- Once all the dough is used, in a frying pan, add some oil and heat it.
- Then put the potato balls in the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes till golden brown.
- Once done, put it on a plate and add 1 cup of tomato sauce/chutney to serve.
